The EMAlliance Dispatch is the Emergency Management Alliance of Indiana’s newsletter to keep you informed of what is happening in our counties and at the state and federal levels in emergency management. Each month, we bring you news from around the state, highlight emergency management professionals, and encourage engagement with your neighbors and colleagues. The January edition marks the inaugural launch of the EMAlliance Dispatch. Highlights include updates on membership growth, introduction of a new professional platform for sharing emergency management insights, and an overview of proposed state legislation impacting public safety and emergency services.

Key updates include severe weather preparedness resources, upcoming training opportunities, and federal and state funding highlights aimed at enhancing capacity and readiness. The issue also recognizes retiring leaders and encourages diverse perspectives across our emergency management community.

The March edition highlights Severe Weather Preparedness Week, storm spotter training opportunities, and the introduction of new tools such as the Indiana Floodplain Information Portal. The newsletter also spotlights partner organizations and includes information on the statewide EM mentoring program.

The April issue highlights recent severe weather events and introduces NOAA mobile radar trucks and our new mentoring program. Key updates include HazMat and BRIC grants, IPSC changes and the FirstNet bill, and impacts from the President’s FY27 budget proposal. It also addresses rising insurance costs and shares upcoming EMAI conference dates.
